Product description
The FT 4220 400KV motor is designed for heavy 15″–17″ builds powered by a high-capacity 6S–8S (max 33.6 V) battery. The 4220 stator, combined with a lower KV rating (400KV), provides high torque, controlled dynamics, and stability under load.
The Ø49.5 × 58 mm rotor dimensions paired with the low 400KV rating allow it to maintain sufficient thrust with efficient power consumption.
The motor develops a peak power of up to 2186.7 W at a maximum current of up to 75.3 A. The internal resistance of this drone motor for 15-17″ props is 46 mΩ, ensuring system stability under heavy loads without overheating.
It is used as a motor for heavy drones and 15–17 inch heavy-lift quadcopters, long-range builds, agricultural drones, and aerial photography platforms, where smooth control, high thrust, and battery efficiency at cruising speeds are critical.
The motor is designed for 6S–8S systems and requires a high-current Electronic Speed Controller (ESC). It features an enlarged Ø30 mm (4 × M4) mounting base and an M6 nut for secure propeller fastening. The 260 mm long 16 AWG power wires ensure convenient wiring and installation.
