The FT 6.1–7.2GHz 17.5dBi RHCP FPV horn antenna is designed for receiving and transmitting video signals. This model operates within the 6100–7200MHz frequency band, features a 17.5 dBi gain, and utilizes Right-Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP).
This frequency range is atypical for the mainstream FPV market, allowing the antenna to operate in a much less congested RF environment compared to standard FPV bands. The 17.5 dBi gain yields high directivity, with the horn design forming a narrower radiation pattern.
Unlike omnidirectional (omni) antennas, this model concentrates the RF signal in a specific direction, ensuring significantly greater range along the main lobe. However, this high directivity requires more precise tracking of the target.
The antenna is designed for mounting on ground control stations (GCS) as well as ground- and air-based video relay systems. It must be paired with frequency-matched equipment. Connection is made via an SMA Female connector, properly matched in both frequency and polarization.
